    • Specify a description for the image along with the specific dimensions you would prefer the image to show.
    • If you want the image to maintain its form, make sure to check the Constrain Proportions checkbox.

Adding Videos to Articles

When editing articles, click on the video film icon, to reveal the following three options in different tabs. Depending on the option, a video player will be shown enabling users to play the provided video.

  • Reference the source (General)
    • Input the physical path of the video in URL format. For example, if you were to have your video stored in the root of your Kayako instance, you would put in the Source field something like http://your.kayako.url/video.mp4.
    • Specify a description for the video along with the specific dimensions you would prefer the image to show.
    • If you want the video to be shown in the standard 16:9 aspect ratio, make sure to check the Constrain Proportions checkbox.
  • Embed
    • In this method, it is required that the video you want to show is hosted on a video playing platform that enables code embedding.
    • Obtain the code from that platform, copy it and paste it in the text box below the message: Paste your embed code.
  • Advanced

Adding Multimedia with HTML

You can also insert multimedia via HTML coding by clicking either on Tools or on View and then Source code, but be aware that only HTML code is supported, which excludes other types of coding (e.g. scripts, JavaScript, lightbox).
