This article provides things to note when requesting a domain name change for your Kayako OnDemand site.
You can request us to change the domain name of your SaaS helpdesk. However, the following points must be considered before making the request:
- The new domain must be available for you. It should not be already opted by any other user.
- The migration from one domain to another involves downtime. The time depends on your data size.
- The URL related to the help desk will change after the migration to the new domain. All of your users need to use this updated URL to access the News, Knowledgebase, etc..
- If you have set up the domain mapping, you need to change the CNAME at your end, and update us with your preferred domain so that we may change the domain alias at our end.
