Overview
The Kayako Staff API lets developers build rich applications to connect to and manage the helpdesk.
It differs to the Kayako REST API in that it respects staff, team and department permissions. The Staff API also supports regular session based authentication to the helpdesk using specific staff user accounts (whereas the REST API provides access to all of your helpdesk's data using an independent API key).
The Staff API is ideal for building clients (it is already used to support the Kayako Mobile applications) or connecting other CRM and back-office systems to your helpdesk.
