Overview
This article describes how to find the build version of a customer’s Kayako instance when trying to diagnose an issue. This can be achieved without asking the customer for permission or getting an admin to access their instance.
Process
Method One
To find a Kayako instance's build version, you just need the domain/URL of the customer's Kayako instance.
- Open the Help Center page.
- Access the View page source option of your web browser. For browser-specific instructions, please refer to How to view the HTML source code of a web page.
- Using your browser's Search function, search for "version" and take note of the build's version as shown below. You can also find out the Kayako plan (Fusion/Case/Engage) on the same page under the Product field. Click on the image to enlarge.
