Kayako Classic has two deployment options, OnDemand (hosted by Kayako) or Download (download and install in your own environment). As a Kayako Classic customer, you have the option to switch or migrate from the download version to the ondemand version or vice versa. This process requires some work from both your side and Kayako's side so check out the information below for details.

If you are decided to do so, then you need to directly contact the Sales team by emailing Sales@kayako.com.
The Sales team will provide a new quote and will explain the process. Once you agree to it, the Sales representative will forward it to the Billing team for processing.
- For download (self-hosted) to ondemand (hosted) migration, the process will be facilitated in the backend which the Sales team will cover.
- For ondemand (hosted) to download (self-hosted) migration, you need to download and install the Kayako Classic software on your environment.
- IMPORTANT! You need to get a copy of your ondemand instance database from us if switching from ondemand to download so you can restore it into your local installation. Hence, before you submit the signed quote to billing, you need to send a request to the support team to get a backup copy of your latest database.
- Once the billing team has confirmed the changes, you need to download Kayako Classic and install it on their server.
