You might wonder if the files that clients or users attached in live chat while conversing with your staff agents using Kayako Desktop can be found in the database.
First of all, end-users or clients cannot attach files while using Live Chat in Kayako Classic. Only staff agents can attach and send files or images to the client they are chatting with using the Kayako Desktop application.
The files that staff agents are sending through the Kayako Desktop application are not stored in the database. But they can be found in the Kayako Classic system folders. To locate the files:
- Access your server where your Kayako Classic is installed.
- Navigate to the following directory: __swift/files.
Please note though the files are assigned "randomized names" and will not show up in their original file name. You need admin access to the server to be able to access the above system folder.
