Overview

You have upgraded from Kayako Classic 4.77 to 4.93 and have noticed that Linked Select Custom Fields are limited to a single level of nesting in version 4.93.  In version 4.77, ut was possible to have multiple levels of nesting in a Linked Select Custom Field.

In Kayako Classic 4.77, it was possible to have multiple levels of nesting in a Linked Select Custom Field. Somewhere between Kayako Classic versions 4.77 and 4.90, this feature was deprecated and the Linked Select Custom Fields were limited to a single level of nesting.

It may be possible to add multiple nesting levels under the custom field if you use HTML code to design the input form as detailed in the following steps:

• Create "Custom" type custom field by navigating to Admin CP > Custom Fields > Fields > New > Custom.
• Note the "Field Name" to be specified in the HTML code as 'name=Field Name'.
• Navigate to Admin CP > Templates > Templates > General > 'customfields' to edit HTML code.

Note: Any modifications to the Kayako Classics templates/code will be done on your own as we do not provide any assistance for template/code modifications.
